Weldolets  are the most well-known among all the olets and are well-suited for high pressure weight applications. These are principally sorted as butt weld fittings, as these are welded into the branch pipe.

WELDOLET® is the most common of all branch connections, and is welded onto the outlet pipe. The ends are bevelled to facilitate this process, and therefore the weldolet is considered a butt-weld fitting. Weldolet's are designed to minimize stress concentrations and provide integral reinforcement.

There are two ways for branching from the run pipe.

1st is a pipe to pipe branching. Either with reinforcement pad or with the help of standard tee. When we make opening in the pipe for the pipe to pipe branching without using TEE, it will weaken the pipe. To avoid this, additional reinforcement pad is welded to the pipe, this type of branch connection is fabricated at the site.

In the second method, instead of additional reinforcement pad, you used a heavier specially designed branch that works as a Self-reinforced branch.

ELBOLET® is used on 90° Long Radius Elbows (can be manufactured for Short Radius Elbows) for thermowell and instrumentation connections. Available butt-weld to meet specific reinforcement requirements, and 3000# and 6000# classes for Socket Weld and threaded applications.

Elbolets are used with 90 or 180 degrees long radius and short radius (more rarely) elbows for thermowell and instrumentation connections or as a drain connection when there is too little space for using a Weldolet.

Elbolet is a special type of olets which fits on elbow surface. It is 90° branch connection and comes in different types of ends that suit for butt welding, socket welding and threaded joint.

LATROLET®, used for 45° lateral connections, is available butt-weld to meet specific reinforcement requirements, and 3000# or 6000# classes for Socket Weld and threaded applications.

There are some special olets also used in piping such as Latrolet that is used for taking branch which is not at 90 degrees to run pipe.

Latrolet comes in a 45°or any other special degree as required by purchaser End connections of a Latrolet can be butt welded, socket welded or threaded.

SOCKOLET® utilizes the basic Weldolet® however the branch affixes by way of a socket inside the olet. The bore matches the outlet bore, and the existence of a counter bore roughly the size of the OD of the outlet provides a socket where the pipe can sit, facilitating installation and welding. The Sockolet® is considered a socket fitting, and manufactured in 3000#, 6000# and 9000# classes.
